Hello world, my name is Anastasia. I am an international student from Russia, and this is my final semester in the first year here. I created this portfolio as part of a class assignment ….. Here are all my works, my achievements, my growth in skill, as a writer. As for my achievements, then probably this class helped me in developing myself, I began to look at things from different angles, to think, to think like a critical writer.
Moreover, I realized that every read work could be considered as something more than just a story, essay, story. This is a great chance to penetrate the philosophical questions that make you think. After all, the more you immerse yourself in literature, you have the most pleasant feeling when you try to solve the riddle, the idea why the author decided to write this way, to use a specific style of speech, what purpose he wanted to convey to the reader. It was exciting for me to learn which formats can be used for a particular type of literature. But also, there are things that I need to work hard on. For example, continue to learn how to formulate your thoughts correctly, express your opinion and discuss with fellow students, because each person has his barrier in communicating with someone and this barrier must be overcome and leave the comfort zone. It seems to me that it is necessary to devote more time to research and use this information more rationally, to distribute it with the mind. I hope that with such an English class I will be able to develop myself more in writing skills because this is an excellent way to express my thoughts. I also believe that I can overcome my language barriers and build my vocabulary with the help of books. Perhaps in some respects, writing skills will induce me to write my scientific articles, review, comment on various works. I can safely say one thing: I think it is very important to understand who you are, and what you think about this or that situation and this lesson helped me to open different world views, understand myself and survive every situation the author lived through himself.
Thank you for your attention!
